The Moroccan Youtuber Shafik El Amrani, known with the nickname “Aorobe fe Merican” “عروبي في ميركان” has gone on hunger strike since last Saturday, indefinitely.
And his brother Muhammad al-Amrani published a post on his account on the social networking site “Facebook”, according to which his brother was still on hunger strike, according to what his lawyer confirmed to him.
Muhammad al-Amrani said, “His brother’s wife complained that she was prevented from seeing him in prison, and that Shafiq al-Omrani was admitted to the court, unable to walk, as he fell to the ground.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the Court of First Instance, Ain Sebaa, in Casablanca, decided to postpone the trial of Shafik El Amrani nicknamed “Aorobe fe Merican” “عروبي في ميركان”, until February 25.
It should be noted that the Public Prosecution issued a communiqué, in which it indicated that the arrest of Shafiq Al-Amrani came after he was being searched for on suspicion of committing acts of a criminal nature, by publishing a set of videos containing offensive and insulting sentences against constitutional institutions, organized bodies and public officials.
