The French Aviation industry (LPF) group opens a new factory in Casablanca.
The French group “Le Pasteur” (LPF) has strengthened its presence in Morocco by inaugurating, today, Wednesday, in Casablanca, a new factory dedicated to the production of high-tech mechanical parts for the aerospace industry.
This new factory, “LPF CASABLANCA”, located in the Nouaceur Industrial Acceleration Zone, known for short as “Medpark”, is the first Moroccan factory for the automatic processing of solid, circular metal parts for aircraft engines.
“LPF CASABLANCA”, which joins the industrial system of aircraft engines, updated within the framework of the Industrial Acceleration Plan, will strengthen Morocco’s position in technological disciplines with high added value.
This factory, which was built on a total area of 6828 square meters, of which 4,078 is the covered area, with a cover of investment in means of production of 55 million dirhams for the first phase, is expected to provide 100 jobs by the year 2024, in addition to that it will allow a group of (LPF) by increasing its production capacity and entering new markets through acquiring new customers.
The new factory was inaugurated in the presence of Nouaceur worker, the Consul General of France in Casablanca, representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, as well as the president of the Moroccan Aviation Group and the president of Medpark.
On this occasion, the Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy, considered that Morocco is making an important step towards integration within the industrial system of aviation engines, which is one of the most complex areas in the aviation industry.
He added that this investment will allow the creation of qualified jobs in the categories of engineers, technical specialists and qualified workers, noting that the opening of this factory confirms the quality of Moroccan competencies and the great progress that the aviation industry in Morocco knows.
For his part, Director of “PLF Casablanca”, he emphasized that the opening of this new factory will enable it to move to a very important stage at the technological level in Morocco, given its specialization in the manufacture of high-tech mechanical parts.
He said that the Casablanca plant constitutes the first building block within an integrated industrial system for the manufacture of engines, noting that the strengthening of the group’s presence in Morocco, which extends for more than twenty years, has made it possible to raise the quality and efficiency of Moroccan frameworks.
The national aviation sector, which is provided by highly qualified Moroccan workers, through this new investment, confirms the attractiveness that Morocco knew how to develop and elevate it to the highest technological level.
The (LPF) group has been present in Morocco since 1999, the date of the creation of SERMP, located in the Technopole de Nouaceur, which was one of the first factories of the aviation industry in Morocco.
The group, which is present across 7 factories in three countries, has been a prominent player in the manufacture of parts and mechanical groups for aircraft for 70 years, and it is among the leading European companies in the production of parts for aircraft and helicopters engines.
