The page of the Israeli Foreign Ministry celebrated the arrival of its ambassador to Morocco, calling this step historic, a few days after the signing of the official agreement to normalize relations between the two countries.

The Israeli, Arabic Speaking page on the social networking site Facebook published an article in which it read: “Israeli Ambassador Govrin arrives in Rabat, twenty years after the closure of the Israeli liaison office in Morocco, Ambassador David Govrin is arrived in Rabat today to take up the post of Interim Representative of Israel in Morocco.”
The page continued: “The establishment of full diplomatic relations with Morocco and the return of Israeli diplomats to Rabat is a public holiday for the State of Israel. The head of the liaison office and his staff will work to strengthen relations in all areas, including everything related to political dialogue, tourism, economy and cultural relations.
